Hello Friends,

So June is off to a very wet start. Last Thursday evening the sky opened up and those giant raindrops quickly filled any hole on the road.

Poor Bo was planting in an open tractor when it started. He called me to come get him, so the kids and I piled into the car and hustled down the road to where he had been planting. Let's just say we didn't go back home the way we went to get him.

Then Friday morning I was looking out the window, drinking my coffee and thinking how glad I was that we live up on a hill. It had been raining again and we were certain all the lower roads leaving our house would be flooded, when the kids said we better see something in the basement.

As soon as looked down, I knew we had a problem. The water was coming up from our sump pump and was rising in the basement.

With quick thinking we were able to get it resolved. We had Next Level Restoration come and help us with the carpet and drying out the basement.

We are so blessed it happened when it did. Had it been overnight, we probably would have had a much worse mess to clean up.

Since then, I have been cleaning spots with Thieves household cleaner and running Thieves in the diffusers just to make sure we don't have any issues come up.

I cannot wait to have things back in order and to be ready to do my NingXia challenge! I have been filling the pull of being 3 months postpartum and all the busyness of spring (checking cows and chickens, planting gardens, multiple times, and keeping up with the rain), I'm ready to refuel my body with nutrients.

That is why I'm doing a 14 day NingXia challenge. I'm ready to have energy and feel rested so I can continue to do the things with the kiddos in tow.
