Happy Belated Mother's Day

Hello Friends!

Happy Belated Mother's Day ! I hope all the mommas had a wonderful weekend. We have had a wild few days around here, hence the belated wishes. From bread baking ( more on that in a minute ) to large splinters it had definitely been something for the books. Things are calming down today and I'm very ready for it.

The kids and I are going to be heading out to work with animals and new garden beds. It's that time of year where we have a list that is much longer than our days, but that's alright because it will be cold and snowy again before we know it. I cannot wait to show you guys the new 200 ft flower bed we are working on. I'm so excited about this new growing space .

Last week was our first pre-order for breads and bagels. The support we have starting this new adventure has been wonderful. We are truly thankful for our community and look forward to serving you.

This weeks pre- order closes TODAY at 8pm and pickup will be Friday at our home. If you are local and would like more info, feel free to respond to this email and I'll do my best to answer any questions.

I also wanted to remind you that we have pre-orders open for our "Save the Small farm" t-shirts is open until Friday. May 15th.

We truly feel blessed with a community that is so supportive as we learn and grow something beautiful. Each shirt sale is going to help us add to our chute system so we can safely and efficiently work our herd. Here is an article I wrote sharing more about importance of a good chute system .

We hope you all have a wonderful week!

Hello Friends, Happy 4th of July 🎇 I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend celebrating our countries 250th Independence Day. Bo has been busily baling hay and is almost finished. Once that's done we will be right into fair week then it will feel like we can relax and enjoy summer. The kids and I have been planting seeds into little pockets of the garden and flower beds. Next up we will be resetting the hoop house. Most of our spring crops are done now, I have a few red beets I'm letting...

Hello Friends, As I write this I am sitting in a couple waiting rooms. How is that possible? Most people can only be in one place at one time. Well, my physical body is waiting on Bo to finish up with surgery on his arm. It's been a crazy few weeks leading up to today. Hurry up and wait kind of crazy. We haven't talked too much about today, it caused us both some anxiety. It was better to keep busy and do more. It was easier that way. It reminds me of my c section in 2022. As I was in the...

Hey Friends! Happy June 1st! I hope you all had a good May. May was eventful on the farm. We split the cows from the young stock and let them each out to the summer pastures. Everyone is looking great. Milkshake, this momma, had a heifer calf on 5/30. The grass is so tall all you can see is her small white star in her forehead. The weather was so cool that I waited to plant the main garden. It's about finished now, just a few more spots to fill in until I'm ready to do a second succession....
